Motor Vehicle Technician - CCL

Main Duties & Responsibility

  • Examine vehicles to identify faults and determine the necessary repairs or parts required for servicing.
  • Conduct fault-finding diagnostics on conventional vehicle systems, excluding high-voltage systems.
  • Submit technical support tickets to franchise teams in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and servicing efficiently and effectively, following manufacturer safety standards.
  • Ensure all repairs and servicing are completed within the allocated timeframes and in line with job card specifications.
  • Always protect customer vehicles and their interiors by using appropriate covers, including seat covers, floor mats, steering wheel covers, and wing protectors.
  • Perform duties with care to avoid accidental damage to vehicles or components during servicing or repair work.
  • Use tools, parts, and equipment correctly, responsibly, and as intended.
  • Report on the general condition of vehicles to the Workshop Controller, with particular attention to customer safety and any current or potential future faults or service requirements.
  • Ensure all identified faults and servicing needs, including any newly discovered issues, are clearly documented on the job card.
  • Wear protective clothing and use safety equipment provided by the company at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area to help promote a safe and efficient working environment in the workshop.
  • Ensure proper collection, use, return, and disposal of all parts and tools used during servicing and repairs.
  • Keep up to date with franchise standards, new vehicle models, manufacturers’ technical specifications, and emerging vehicle technologies.
  • Attend training sessions, either locally or abroad, as required to maintain and enhance technical knowledge and skills.
  • Carry out any additional duties as directed by the Workshop Controller.
  • Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety Regulations and Company Policies.
  • Report any near misses or accidents immediately to the Health and Safety Coordinator or a member of the Human Resources team.
