Main Duties & Responsibility
- To open and closes showroom and ensures that both the showroom and the vehicles are maintained in optimum condition at all times.
- To establish and maintain an excellent relationship with customers, answers all queries related to the vehicles and attends to their requirements prior to and during the sale process.
- To promote and sell the brands to increase sales and brand knowledge with customers.
- To explain vehicle model features to customers and conduct test drives to encourage customers to purchase the vehicle.
- To handle all documentation related to the sale of the vehicles and collects payments (cash and / or cheque deposits) from customers upon sale of vehicle.
- To make the necessary arrangements to check and prepare the vehicle upon the delivery to the customer and gives a thorough explanation to the customer regarding vehicle’s interior and controls.
- To follow up and handle any complaints related to the sales department and follow up with customers regarding their complaints in line with company standards.
- To report any cleaning or maintenance work required in the showroom to ensure that the showroom is maintained as per Franchise Standards.
- To ensure strict adherence to Franchise standards and maintains oneself updated on all new vehicle model features and latest vehicle technology.
- To attend to new vehicle launches, motor fairs and any promotional events that may be organised outside working hours from time to time.
- To attend monthly based management meetings to discuss the sales and any current and future strategies.
- To prepare and conduct presentations for the Franchise Representatives when required.
- To maintain an adequate level of stock to assist in the purchasing decision.
- To discuss price index analysis and mystery shopper for each model with the General Manager and Franchise Representatives.
- To work closely with the product and price specialist the build the competitors list in order to get the average prices, price build up and standard.
- To arrange volume planning meeting with the General Manager to discuss the amount of cars to be sold and budget planning to be communicated to the Franchise Representatives.
- To work hand in hand with the Marketing Executive on the marketing strategies to devise a sales and marketing strategy aimed at increasing the customers brand knowledge and sale of vehicles.
- To attend meetings with the Franchise Representatives and General Manager to discuss the current year process and plan a strategy for the coming year.
- To attend any required training organised by the Company.
- To carry out any additional duties assigned by the General Manager.
- To adhere strictly to Health and safety regulations and company policies together with Franchise standard requirements.
Educational and skill requirements
- Diploma level or higher in Sales and (instead of or) Marketing or a related field
- Proven work experience in sales within the automotive industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in verbal and written Maltese and English languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
